Zavel Zilberts, well-known composer of Jewish liturgical choral music who formed several famous choral groups, died here yesterday at the age of 69. In 1903 he was director of the world’s largest choral group the Hazomir Singers of Lodz, Poland. He was a native of Karlin, near Pinsk, Russia.
