Jacob Blaustein, president of the American Jewish Committee, was honored here last night by the Jewish War Veterans, Department of Maryland, for “outstanding service to his city, state and nation,” before a gathering of notables in the War Memorial Building. U.S. Senator Millard E. Tydings, chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, was the guest speaker at the ceremony marking the award of the Distinguished Service Medal to Mr. Blaustein.
