Dr. Fritz Steuber, a member of the Austrian Parliament representing the neo-Nazi Union of Independents, was today acquitted by a court here of the charge of incitement to racial hatred. The court based its decision on testimony given by Steuber’s friends.

Last February, Steuber made a violently anti-Semitic speech in which he described members of the Parliament who had been victims of Nazi persecution as “posts” who must be destroyed.
