The charge that anti-Semitic tendencies exist in Communist Hungary and that “they are directed from higher places, probably by orders from Moscow,” was made in the New York Times today by Bela Fabian, member of the executive committee of the Hungarian National Council.
Mr. Fabian, who emphasizes that the Hungarian National Council is receiving reliable underground reports from Hungary, says that the official instigators of the “anti-Semitic tendencies” are Minister Joseph Revai, former Communist Minister “anti-Semitic tendencies” are Minister Joseph Revai, former Communist Minister Istvan Kossa and Joseph Gem, a member of the Hungarian parliament. “The Jews are accused of sabotaging Hungary’s Five-Year Plan,” he reports.
