Dr. David Lvovitch, one of the founders of the World ORT Union and chairman of its executive, died at Claremont-Ferrand, at the age of 68. Funeral services will be held in Paris tomorrow.
Dr. Lvovitch, a native of Russia, became an American citizen in 1939. He founded the ORT’s branch in Poland in 1920 and a year later became vice-president of the World ORT Union when it was set up in Berlin. In addition to his long service with European branches of the organization, he also aided in the work of the American ORT Federation. Dr. Lvovitch organized ORT programs in displaced persons camps in Germany immediately after World War II ended.
