The Histadrut delegation which is now touring Britain was today given a luncheon by the British Foreign Office. Presiding over the affair was Ernest Davies, Foreign Under Secretary. Among the guests were: G.W. Burlonge, head of the Foreign Office Middle East Department, and other officials.

Yesterday, Acting Prime Minister Herbert Morrison presided at a luncheon tendered the delegation by the Parliamentary members of the Labor Party. Lord Morrison, addressing the luncheon guests, hailed the “reconstruction of Israel as one of the greatest social experiments of our time.” He conveyed “warmest greetings” to the delegation, in behalf of the Labor Government and the British labor movement, and lauded the collective settlements in the Jewish state.
