U.S. Cancels Request to Israel to Send Planes to Iran to Combat Locust Plague

The United States Embassy informed the Israel Government today that four Piper Cub planes that the Government had in readiness, in compliance with an American request, for use in combatting a locust plague in Iran, would not be required. It is understood that the plague has reached such proportions than larger aircraft that Israel has available, would be required.
