Iraq Government Restricts Movements of Jews Who Intend to Remain in the Country

Restrictions on the movements of 20,000 Iraqi Jews who have not renounced their Iraqi nationality and intend to remain in that country were announced by the Iraqi Ministry of the Interior, according to information received here today.

Permission for these Jews to travel abroad will be granted for medical treatment, for business reasons, for study or holiday. Vacationers will not be allowed to spend more than three months outside the country under penalty of loss of their nationality.
