Special arrangements were made by the Minneapolis Election Board, in consultation with the Minnesota Jewish Council and the Minnesota Rabbinical Association, to enable Jews to participate in today’s municipal elections without desecrating the Shavouth holiday.

Arrangements have been made that all Jews presenting themselves at the polls by 8 o’clock tonight would be permitted to vote. Jews unable to appear at the polls by that hour were permitted to obtain and use absentee ballots.
