The Bavarian parliamentary committee of inquiry into the affairs of the restitution office today decided to hear evidence on the case of Dr. Philip Auerbach–former Jewish Commissioner of Restitution who is under arrest in Bavaria. The hearings will open October 26th.
Attorney General Wilhelm Hoelper told the committee that Dr. Auerbach’s trial would not take place before December, possibly not before next year. The committee will also hear testimony by Dr. Hans Ehard, Bavarian Prime Minister, and Dr. E. Mueller, Bavarian Minister of Justice.
Proceedings were instituted here today against Herr Von Bothner, third chairman of the neo-Nazi Socialist Reichs Party, who is alleged to have publicly incited Germans against Jews. Addressing a meeting at Schoeppenstedt, he said that there would be no peace in political life until the whole world unites to fight Jewry.
