A Foreign Ministry spokesman today denied recent reports that the Soviet Union had replied positively to Israeli requests for a discussion of reparation payments by East Germany to victims of the Nazis. The spokesman stressed that the situation was unchanged and that the Russian reply to Israel’s letter to the four occupying powers in March, 1951, asking for reparations for Germany, remains unstisfactory.
