HADASSAH COMMEMORATES THE 20TH ANNIVERSARY OF YOUTH ALIYAH
More than 600 Jewish women leaders from all sections of the United States today attended a special conference at the Hotel Pierre under the auspices of Hadassah, commemorating the 20th Anniversary of Youth Aliyah.
Since its inception in 1934, Hadassah the official agency of Youth Aliyah in the United States, has raised more than $22, 000,000 to effect the rescue of Jewish children, first from Nazi Germany and its satellites and, in more recent years, from Arab and other countries, it was announced by Dr. Miriam Freund, Hadassah chairman for Youth Aliyah, who presided.
