Two ships, with 750 North African Jews aboard, arrived at Marseilles today en route to Israel, and 600 of them left for Haifa immediately. Three representatives of the Jewish Agency accompanied the North African refugees who, immediately upon disembarking, will be taken to settlements prepared for them.

A Jewish Agency spokesman said that it is expected that the number of North African Jews emigrating to Israel this month will reach between 2,000 and 2,500. One of the ships that left with the North Africans today, is stopping off at Naples, Italy, to pick up 30 Israel-bound Jewish immigrants permitted to leave Bulgaria.
