The United States Department of Agriculture announced today the sale to Israel of $13 million of surplus agricultural commodities during the fiscal year ending June 30, 1955.
The surplus commodities were financed by economic aid dollars granted to Israel by the U.S. Government during the fiscal year 1955. The commodities purchased by Israel included wheat, feed grains, rice, cotton, tobacco, dairy products, and vegetable oils.
