The Allegheny College chapter of Delta Tau Delta fraternity, suspended by its national office for granting “social” membership to a Jewish student, has begun a campaign to force the national fraternity to drop discriminatory policies.

The local chapter organized a committee to conduct an “all-out campaign” against religions and other discriminatory policies of the national organization. According to committee chairman Douglas Bedell of New York the purpose of the campaign is to seek “all public and private opinion which can be presented that the Delta Tau Delta discrimination clause should be dropped.” The findings of the committee will be presented to the next national fraternity convention in June.
