Canadian immigration-officials announced today that 316 North African Jewish families, totalling 777 persons, will be admitted to this country under a special immigration program requested by the Canadian Jewish Congress
The Congress which originally asked that 800 families be admitted, has undertaken to assist immigrant families for two years, if necessary, The first 50 families are expected to arrive in Canada early in 1957.
