Challenge Right of Schools to Mount-‘ten Commandments’ on Walls

The State Education Commissioner was asked this weekend to rule whether the posting of the Ten Commandments should be prohibited in class rooms.

Emanuel Belman, residing at New Hyde Park, New York, petitioned the Commissioner after his school board voted money to buy and mount plaques bearing the Ten Commandments in classrooms.
