A protest by the Union of Italian Jewish Communities against a Catholic manual distributed in the Milan schools has drawn a promise from Mnsgr. Montini, Archbishop of this city, that no further copies of the manual would be issued.
The Union protested derogatory remarks about Jews contained in the manual. Msgr. Montini expressed disapproval of these remarks and pledged that a second edition would not be published.
