An Israel army captain today faced a 22-year prison term after a military court found him guilty of selling 70 rifles and large quantities of ammunition to Arab smugglers. The weapons were stolen during the Sinai campaign.

The officer, whose name was withheld, was caught in a secret police trap while bringing arms to a Bedouin camp.
