Robert Briscoe has again been nominated for the post of Lord Mayor of Dublin by the governing Fianna Fail Party, of which he is a member. The announcement of the party’s choice was made yesterday.

In the past two years, Mr. Briscoe and James Carroll have been tied in the city council balloting for Mayor. In both cases their names have been placed in a hat and the mayoralty was decided by drawing one. In this fashion Mr. Briscoe was elected for 1957 and Mr. Carroll for 1958.
