Ralph I. Goldman has been named executive vice president of the America-Israel Cultural Foundation, it was announced today by Samuel Rubin, Foundation president. Mr. Goldman will direct the organization’s program, succeeding Rabbi Arthur J. Lelyveld. The Foundation is concerned with furthering culture and education in Israel.
Mr. Goldman spent four years in Israel where he coordinated the United States Point Four and the United Nations Technical Assistance programs, as director of the Technical Assistance Department of the Prime Minister’s office. Upon his return to this country in 1957, he was consultant to the American Committee for Israel’s Tenth Anniversary. Before going to Israel, Mr. Goldman was associated with the Israeli Consulate in New York and served as director of the Canton Jewish Community Center and Welfare Fund.
