The Western Powers must wrest the Middle East from the grip of the cold war by a consistent policy of containment of Nasserism through strengthening Israel and other non-Nasser forces in the region, Dr. Miriam K. Freund, national president of Hadassah, declared tonight at the annual dinner of the New York Chapter of Hadassah. She said the Middle East must become a region of states–free from the fear of domination, co-existing by mutual consent and for their mutual benefit.
