The Israel Government will soon award a contract for construction of the country’s third sugar refining plant, at a cost of about $8,250, 000. Announcement that the contract will be awarded soon was made by Israel’s economic counselor here today, following disclosure that bids for the construction have been put in by firms from France, West Germany, The Netherlands and Belgium.
