Terming free immigration “the fundamental fact of our independence, ” Mrs. Meir described the agricultural, industrial and other advances in Israel, the valor of Israel’s soldiers and the friendship and cooperation between Israel and the many nations of Africa and Asia. She appealed to the Jewish people to support faithfully the young Jewish State. Ambassador Aryeh Levavi who also addressed the meeting, stressed the excellent relations between Israel and Argentina and the warm feelings of Argentine Jewry toward Israel.
