Gifts to the 1959 campaign of the Milwaukee Jewish Welfare Fund passed the $1,000,000 mark this week with every indication that the final returns would mark one of the best in the past ten years, Marvin Glasspiegel, general chairman, revealed today.

He said that the rate of increase “will be better than just about any major city in the nation.” He reported also that every contributor being approached currently was increasing his or her gift by more than 25 percent, the increase which marked the average gift earlier in the current campaign.
