A strong spiritual revival is taking place in the Western Hemisphere, affecting all religions, Colonel Shlom Goren, Chief Chaplain of Israel’s Armed Forces, stated today on his departure for Israel aboard an E1 A1 Israel Airlines plane.
Colonel Goren is returning to Israel after a tour of the United States and Latin America in behalf of the Israel bond drive. He reported that the religious revival “has been confirmed to me by Christian as well as Jewish spiritual leaders throughout the Western Hemisphere.” Among Jewish communities, he noted, one of the most important manifestations of this spiritual revival is a higher level of participation in the Israel bond drive.
