President and Mrs. Izhak Ben-Zvi received evangelist Billy Graham today at their home. Mr. Graham concludes his Israel visit tonight with a fourth meeting to be held at St. Peter’s Church, in Jaffa.
The American evangelist had an overflow audience, almost entirely Jewish, when he delivered a sermon last night at the Jerusalem YMCA. The audience, including many young men wearing the skullcaps of Orthodox Jews, gave him a polite, but cool, reception. One of Mr. Graham’s aides later described the audience as “unresponsive.” The evangelist had had a similar experience earlier in his tour when he addressed a predominantly Catholic audience at Nazareth.
