Harry S. Truman, former President of the United States, declared here today that he is “not sorry” he recognized Israel with in a few hours after the reborn Jewish State issued its Declaration of Independence in 1918. “l would do it again,” he asserted firmly. Mr. Truman was guest at luncheon today of the United Nations Correspondents Association.
Asked whether he thought the United Nations resolutions on repatriation and compensation of Arab refugees should be implemented, Mr. Truman answered: “Yes. They should be carried out.”
