Social Democratic Party officials disclosed today that they would soon make a new bid to the Adenauer Government to extend the statute of limitations on the crime of manslaughter committed during the Nazi regime.
The period during which prosecution could be initiated for such crimes expired on May 8 after the Government rejected a Social Democratic demand that it be extended to September, 1964. The Social Democrats are planning to propose a compromise arrangement under which charges could be filed until the end of 1961,
