The board of directors of the National Jewish Welfare Board today adopted a budget for 1961, calling for expenditures totaling $1,563,300, according to an announcement by Solomon Litt, president of the JWB. The budget will provide service to almost 650,000 men, women and children who are members of JWB-affiliated Jewish community centers; to 100,000 Jews in the United States Armed Forces; and to 20,000 Jewish patients in Veterans Administration hospitals, and a like number of their dependents.
