A jury court in West Berlin has sentenced Hans Elsholz, a right-wing politician, to two months in prison without probation for publicly making anti-Semitic remarks.
The 30-year-old defendant had previously been sentenced several times on the same offense and declared himself, during the court proceedings, to he an ardent anti-Semite, He was arrested for making the remarks at a meeting with other extreme right-wing West Germans called to organize a “patriotic” youth group.
Dr. Hans Kapfinger, editor of a daily newspaper and of a monthly magazine at Passau, Bavaria, went on trial today at Passau, on charges of committing a misdemeanor by printing neo-Nazi materials. He is accused of attacking “Jewish businessmen” and of accusing “the leftist press” of conducting a campaign of defamation against him. Meanwhile, today, in his daily, “Passauer Neue Press,” and his magazine, “Aktuell,” he repeated the charges.
