Israel’s Parliament defeated today an Agudat Israel motion to debate flights of E1 A1, the Israel National Airline, from New York on the Sabbath.
The National Religious Party, with the exception of veteran Rabbi Mordecai Nurok, abstained from the vote which was 35 against and 18 for the motion.
