A collective memorial service honoring the thousands of men and women who have left legacies totaling $30, 000, 000 during the past 45 years was held last night by the Federation of Jewish Philanthropies here. The service took place in the Felix M. and Frieda Schiff Warburg Room at Federation headquarters where a memorial wall bears the names of major donors to the Federation affiliated institutions.

Judge Joseph M. Proskauer, a founder and former president of the Federation, and Rabbi Israel Mowshowitz, president of the New York Board of Rabbis, led the memorial service. In an address to the gathering, Lawrence A. Wien, Federation president, stressed the spiritual closeness between the Ten Days of Penitence and remembering those who, both in life and death had been concerned with the needs of the community.
