Interior Minister Franz Olah cracked down today on war veterans organizations with a warning that if even one member appeared at a public meeting wearing a swastika, he would dissolve the organization immediately.
He ordered police to allow only meetings of veterans groups called to commemorate war dead and he ordered a strict ban on military manifestations. Participants may participate only in civilian clothing, he said.
