Excavations Yield Skeletons of Masada Fighters Against Romans

The finding of 15 skeletons and fragments of clothing in a small cave near the summit of a cliff at the Masada fortress along the shore of the Dead Sea were reported here today by Yigael Yadin, noted Hebrew University archaeologist, at the and of the first week of excavations at the site of the palace of Herod, King of Judea in the first century B. C. E. and later the last stronghold of the Jews against the Roman conquerors.
