A group of 25 young Americans today began a year’s training in intergroup relations as “human rights interns” sponsored by the Eleanor Roosevelt Memorial Foundation at a two-week seminar here conducted by the American Jewish Committee’s Institute of Human Relations.
Max Birnbaum, director of the AJC department of education and training, has arranged the two-week orientation program, assisted by Mrs. Betti Whaley of the National Urban League, Mrs. Judith Lang of the AJ Committee, and William Barry of the New York City Housing Authority.
