Alliance Israelite Reviews Its Activities; Leaders Stress New Tasks

The new responsibilities of the Alliance Israelite Universelle, particularly for the many young North African Jews who have settled in France, were emphasized today at the Alliance annual meeting here by Jules Braunschvig, the Alliance vice-president. He also discussed the Alliance program in day schools.

Rene Cassin, the president, affirmed confidence in the future of the Alliance, declaring its work flourished through the generous support of friendly organizations and faithful members.

Louis Kahn, Alliance vice-president, said that “education and the rights of man” were the principal concerns of the Alliance, in describing its work during more than a century, Secretary-General Eugene Weill presented the annual report and Treasurer Andre Goldet presented the Alliance financial report.
