More than 2, 000 candidates have applied for admission next fall to the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology which can accommodate only 1, 050 students, it was announced today. Entrance examinations will be held by the school next month.
About 500, 000 school pupils throughout Israel started their summer vacation today. The Ministry of Education announced that school enrollments are expected to be “still higher” for the next academic semester. The Ministry stated that it is making “extensive preparations” for next year’s expected, higher pupil enrollments
