Elijah Reizman, prominent Yiddish poet, was awarded the order of Polonia Restituta to mark the 35th anniversary of the publication of his first poem. Mr. Reizman now lives in Szczeczyn, Poland.
Ida Kaminska, director and star of the Polish Yiddish State Theater, is one of a group of Polish artists decorated today with the “Order of the Millenium.” The award was prepared in connection with the observance of the 1, 000th anniversary of the Polish state.
