Rep. Richard Schweiker, Pennsylvania Republican, a member of the House Armed Services Committee, urged Secretary of State Dean Rusk today to defer shipments of U.S. arms to Jordan in view of the worsening border situation. In a letter to the Secretary, Rep. Schweiker cited the mining of the Tel Aviv school bus in the Negev. He asked for a list of the arms being shipped to Jordan and inquired specifically about weapons such as anti-vehicle mines and other arms used by terrorists.
