Eshkol Says Johnson Promises Answer ‘this Year’ on 50 Phantoms

Prime Minister Levi Eshkol told a group of visiting Canadians yesterday that President Johnson “promised to give me an answer this year” on the 50 F-4 Phantom jets that Israel had requested.
