The 90 young men and women comprising the United Jewish Appeal Young Leadership mission, who have spent 19 days in Israel, “fully understand the importance of the partnership between the people of Israel and the American Jewish community,” James Nobil of Akron said at the closing meeting of the group here. The leaders will now convey to their respective communities the “urgency of continuing emergency fund-raising levels to help ease the burden of the Israeli Jews in supporting the programs of the Jewish Agency in education, health, social welfare, housing and absorption,” he said.
