Israeli authorities reported today that about 12,000 students from Arab countries have entered the West Bank so far this summer to visit parents or other relatives under a special program permitting such visits. A total of 20,000 permits were issued on request but so far 8,000 remain unused. Last summer 18,000 Arabs visited the West Bank under the same program.
