The right-wing National Democratic Party (NPD) has been barred from holding its fourth party congress in Saarbruecken. The congress was supposed to have opened yesterday. NPD chairman Adolf von Thedden said he would take the matter to the highest administrative court. The ban was enforced by the Lord Mayor of Saarbruecken, acting on orders from Saar Interior Minister, Ludwig Shnur. The reason given was that the town could not guarantee law and order.
