A report reacting here from the Soviet Union late this evening stated that the Soviet authorities had decided to hold an appeal hearing tomorrow morning on the Leningrad 11. Sources close to the scene expressed surprise since it normally takes six to eight weeks to arrange such an appeal. This may indicate that there may be clemency for the two defendants sentenced to death.
