Giacomo Mancini, secretary of the Socialist Party, said today that the government must actively work for the achievement of peace in the Middle East. During a foreign affairs debate in the Lower House, Mancini declared that “good will from the sidelines is not enough.” He stated that “Israel’s longing for peace and security meets a wall of bitter feeling of revenge. Hence, the impassion Italy should help to overcome the obstacles to peace.”
