Lee Hamilton (D. Ind.) declared in a floor speech yesterday that the Nixon administration “must redouble its efforts” in three areas: To bring Egypt and Israel “to the table so they can negotiate”; to talk with the Soviet Union about peace and arms limitations in the Middle East; and to “facilitate” Dr. Gunnar Jarring’s mission “pursuant” to UN Resolution 242.
