Iranian security police brandished firearms to restrain an angry mob trying to attack the Israeli water polo team after it scored a fourth successive victory over the Iranian team in Teheran last night. The incident was related by members of the Israeli team who returned here this morning.

According to the team members the security police were aided by local Jews who came in force to watch the games. They said that the Israeli team won three games to take the semifinals in the world championship water polo match. But the Iranians insisted on a fourth game. When Israel won that too, the spectators became menacing and tried to attack the Israeli players while they were still in the swimming pool. The police had to draw their side arms in order to quell the mob, the Israeli players said.
