Abe Grabman, vice-president of the South African Zionist Federation and chairman of the Jewish Chaplaincy Committee of the South African Jewish Board of Deputies, died here last week after a brief illness at the age of 53. Coming from England, where he held leading positions in Zionist work, and served in the Royal Air Force in World War II, Mr. Grabman immediately identified himself with South African Jewish communal work, and was elected to the executive councils of both the Zionist Federation and the Board of Deputies. He also became a member of the world council of the Jewish National Fund.
