Rabbi Isaac N. Trainin. chairman of the Commission on Synagogue Relations of the Federation of Jewish Philanthropies, said today that it had set up a special task force to help the Jewish Child Care Association find foster homes for children–particularly physically handicapped, emotionally disturbed and inter-racial youngsters. He said the task force is headed by Rabbi Murray Grauer, of the Hebrew Institute of White Plains.
Its members are Robert Coleman, director of the department of social Justice of the Synagogue Council of America; Rabbi Roy Tannenbaum; Andrew Fier. president of the Commission on Synagogue Relations; and Gustave Jacobs, a lay leader. Rabbi Trainin said he also participates in the task force. He said there was no Joint commission of the Federation and the SCA for the purpose as reported by the JTA March 28.
